Rev. Paul Henderson
Paul grew up three counties over, the youngest of four. He graduated seminary the same year the new roof went on the parsonage. He and his wife Marion live next door with their two boys (Samuel and Isaac) and a hound dog named Hosea.\n\n'I'm not fancy and I don't preach fancy. I preach what the Scripture says, and I visit you in the hospital. That's the job, as far as I can tell.'

A short history of a small church.
1873 — the beginning
Twelve families who'd been meeting in a barn pooled their resources and built the little white clapboard church that's still standing.
1889 — the bell
The bell was cast in Cincinnati and shipped by rail. It has rung the hours, the services, and the great occasions ever since. Yes, it really does still ring.
1932 — the Depression
The congregation shrank to twenty-three members but the doors never closed. The pastor took half his salary in chickens and potatoes. Somehow the bills got paid.
1978 — the fellowship hall
Built on a single weekend by seventy volunteers. The wooden floor came from a barn that was torn down that same year — a nice closing of the circle.
2026 — today
We're still here. Still small. Still singing. Still serving the community, still welcoming strangers, still planning to be here a hundred years from now. If the Lord tarries.
