When we gather
- Sundays at 10:00 AM — our one worship service of the week. About an hour.
- Coffee at 9:30 — in the fellowship hall, before service. Come early if you’d like to meet some folks first.
- Wednesday Bible Study at 7:00 PM — in the fellowship hall. We work through a book of the Bible together.
Where we are
123 Main Street, Your Town, ST 12345. We’re the white clapboard church with the steeple; you can’t miss us. Parking is in the gravel lot; handicap spaces by the front door.
What to expect
Service runs about an hour. We sing a few hymns (there’s a hymnal in the pew), read some scripture, hear the sermon from the pastor, share Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and end with a blessing. If you’re not sure when to stand or sit, look at what your neighbors are doing. Nobody minds if you just stay seated the whole time.
Children are welcome in the sanctuary. There’s a nursery for the littlest ones (infants through age 3), and a children’s bulletin with crayons if you want one. We don’t have a separate “kids’ church” — we believe children belong in worship alongside everyone else.
What to wear
Whatever’s comfortable. Some folks wear their Sunday best; some wear jeans. Neither sticks out. You’ll be fine in anything you’d wear to dinner at a friend’s house.
About the pie
The last Sunday of every month, we have a fellowship potluck after service. There is always pie. Often several pies. You don’t need to bring anything your first time. After that, just bring whatever you’d like to share.
